Maurice battle report Cape Bretton Island The Battle of Cape Bretton Island 9 th  August 2012 Near the end of Phase 3 The forces of Tysdast were already at sea returning from their diversionary raid against Collisville when Admiral Matthews suggest an impromptu landing on Cape Breton Island, nominally independent from the oppressive Rossrovrian regime it was hoped the army could stretch its legs and pick up some duty free. The landing forces were joined by the Breton Dragoons who informed Kershaw (Earl of Brent) that the Rossrovrians were occupying the village of Taffs Well which is the main trading town for the island. The forces drew up as detailed on the map, the Stadtians deployed wide on the right flank with the idea of making a sweeping march to pin the enemy left, unfortunately the orders never made it through as the messanger had to pass several taverns en route.
